Establishing a Joint Venture with a Mauritanian Partner

In order to actually get licenses from the Mauritanian state with “unlimited” life time, the only legal possibility is to go with a Mauritanian partner to create a Joint Venture company for operating a fishing fleet in Mauritania.

This company has to abide Mauritanian law and regulation.

The Mauritanian partner (who can be a minority share holder) will get a percentage of income which will allow him to progressively (on a 10 year period, for example) reimburse in full the actual value of the foreign partner assets (ship, equipments, etc...)

The Mauritanian government is strongly supporting this partnership concept and is favoring foreign companies (fiscal incitation) which could implement such a scheme in Mauritania.
